I’m a pretty new fan of the UK metalcore band, Bring Me the Horizon so I was excited they had a new album coming out so soon after I discovered them. Even being a newer fan, I can tell this album, Sempiternal, is a bit of a step up from their previous album, There Is a Hell, Believe Me I’ve Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let’s Keep It a Secret. Lead singer, Oli Sykes displays emotion in his voice that didn’t really hear before. I really love how he mixes it up with the screaming and singing. It shows how versatile he is with his voice.  The lyrics are deeper which would contribute to the deeper emotion evoked in just about every song. From start to finish, Sempiternal, delivers one of the best releases this year.

Album Average: 8.63
